So I haven't updated in a while so I thought I would update everyone on my college life in Detroit.
The first two weeks were harddddd, way harder then I thought. I missed/miss my sister a lot more then I thought, I knew I would miss her but not as much as I have been. I was also doing off campus work during this time so I did not get a chance to make even more friends then I did during orientation week.
I have been home every weekend because this place is such a ghost town, everyone either goes home, or finds another school to go to on the weekend.
I am pledging the service fraternity(its co-ed but if you get in you are called a brother.) Alpha Phi Omega its pretty fun. Initiation was on Friday and then the group went to Red Robin. I am also getting involved with the school newspaper.
I have a news writing class and the first article I wrote got published! :) The professor seems to like the way I write and how seriously I take the class so I am going to my first meeting tomorrow, (I missed the first couple meetings because of work).
Today my brother, his girlfriend and I did a 5k walk which is 3.1 miles, we finished in just under an hour, I am very sore but very proud of myself.
Classes are going well, I have smaller classes then I did in high school, the other students are great and I am glad that I am finally finding a groove.
:)

I am getting in the habit of writing in this everyday.

Money Matters- Presentations on careers, I already did mine... boring.
AP- Listened to another college lecture, I am not totally sure what those are trying to get us to accomplish when it comes to Walden. I just write down random interesting facts. :X Ps if anyone has really good notes and feels like sharing I would love to give them my AIM or e-mail to let them send them to me.
Psych- Sub again. All the subs have been missing things we were going to get assigned so we had another pointless worksheet, I am kind of hoping she will push back the defense mechanism journal since she hasn't been there.
Diversity- I need to e-mail Mr.McDavid the letter about Mix It Up and have him send it to the teachers. We also started planning out the newsletter for November.
APPPERSBUS- put addresses on envelopes and ran passes.
Physics- Lecture, test on Friday. :( times 1000000000000000000000000000000000 that many

I also need to organize my binders, and work on Walden, and study.

walden paper

Sometimes in life a person needs to take a break from their regular life and start over somewhere else. Henry David Thoreau was severally depressed when he decided to live at Walden Pond. Thoreau lived a privileged life, and left it all to squat on a piece of land on Walden Pond. Thoreau used his time on the Pond to reevaluate his view of the world around him, and rediscover himself. Thoreau used some of his time alone to develop a code of living. Thoreau’s code of living is to live life as simply as possible.

Above is the introduction paragraph to my Walden paper. The last sentence is my thesis.
Comments? Suggestions? Examples to prove thesis..

So today was good. I went to see my cousin's baby. Her name is Kate, she is so tiny. Last night was one of the best nights I had in a while. I went to the movies with my brothers girlfriend Erica and her friend Laura we seen Reign Over Me. I highly recommend it. Adam Sandler gives a very compelling performance. After the movies we went to Starbucks, they screwed up my order so the guy made me a new one in the size bigger than I ordered and said he "made it with love" and drew a heart on it since he messed up. I also got a coupon for a free beverage.
Tomorrow I am visiting Albion College. I am very excited. Thursday we have no school! YAY! Friday is the Bahamas. I am going to be so tan.
xoxo

So I was okay for a while and then it was like the whole worlds weight fell on my shoulders. Testing week sucked, nobody knew what the hell was going on and I felt really bad for the guy that was my scribe I know that timing me was not his idea of fun. I was so relieved when it was over. I feel so flustered that one test can make or break your future in a way. The fact that I have no idea what I am going to do with my life doesn't help either. Then Thursday came along and I caught up with Ben and got his e-mail so that made me extremely excited. That weekend I just kind of relaxed and stuff.

This past week at school was okay, I don't really remember a lot. This weekend sucked majorly, I hate when people don't understand what your trying to say especially when your not trying to mean you just need to get it out. It is like talking to brick wall it sucks. I wasn't trying to be mean but he just didn't get it. I guess I just don't want to be hated but I guess you can't be like by everybody even if they are your family.

I wish I had courage.
I wish I was not afraid of rejection.
I wish that people could be understanding.
I wish that people could use their words.
I wish I could change the world so that it could be perfect.
I wish that I was strong.
I wish I was brave.
I wish a lot of things, I guess.
xoxo

Today was good especially since it was Friday.
English today just made me more confused about whether to take AP or PA. AP seems like a more structured class and that it will take me step by step into becoming ready for a college level type class. On the other hand the second semester of PA sounds really cool talking about issues dealing with the self. I have no idea. I would really like to hear back from people and their decisions.

Lunch was fantastic. Becca and I were eating lunch and we looked out the window and seen Rachel, Ariel, Shanna, and Erica walking, their plans got ruined so they came and ate at our house. Well we were sitting there and this guy just walks in my backyard so we got really freaked out so Becca looked out the front and we realized that it was my step-dads friend(s) It was really scary for a couple minutes. (We were kind of being dorks)

4th hour was fine. I will be studying a ton since the test will be the majority of our grade so far. This weekend I am with my dad. We are probably hanging out with Chris and her kids maybe, and my uncle and also doing homework and just chilling

Much Love
xoxo

I am kind of getting back into writing in this thing more frequently.
Today was good for the most part since it was a day 2 and I LOVEEEEE day 2's with a passion since they fly by like I feel that I spend no time in school on day 2's. Weird right? The only bad thing was that I got to third hour and it was kind of weird not seeing him and not giving him a hug first thing. :( But the good thing about third hour is that we got a lot of positive feedback for the black history month celebration and we have things planned for every month until June so thats fantastic. I think we are starting to give Diversity Council a spot on the map. :)

SO I was all happy and then I got rained on. I soaked two pairs of my shoes, my coat, my backpack and two pairs of socks. It was a bummer. Then I came home and put my pants in the dryer and got new pants to put on and then took a nap watching Oprah.

I just translated my Spanish homework and am going to go upstairs and finish my homework, find something interesting to watch on tv, perhaps read the newspaper and call it a night.

Much Love
xoxo

I have been pretty okay lately. I have kind of cleansed myself of all the drama that had been happening and pretty much saying fuck it. Everything that was going on doesn't bother me anymore because I know that I'm going places and that's all that matters.

School is good. I like all my classes even though they are hard but it will pay off in the end. All the college stuff is stressing me out though, all the testing and scholarships and which college to pick. Do I stay home? Do I go away? Do I stay close to home? Do I go where I know people? Do I start over? Do I go with Becca? Ahhhh I can not handle all of it. The worst part is... I kind of feel that the Counseling Department is not really helpful.
I don't know if I can handle this.

I was happy for a little while today but then I found out that_______ left today, now he will never know that I had feelings for him. I do hope that things work out for him so that he can come back. :( This has taught me that if I have feelings for someone I will tell them. Nobody hold me to that last statement.

My schedule for next year is like the perfect medium I think. I plan on taking:
AP English
Psychology
Sociology
Diversity
Physics
Practical Law
Personal Fitness
LINK
and
Family Living
It has some hard classes some medium and some easy. I plan on making Senior year the best every possible.

The last thing is that I am applying for a job. I plan on applying for Build-A-Bear at Somerset all I have to do is pick up the application fill it out, return it, and wait I guess.

Sorry so long
Much love guys

Haven't updated in a while.....

We moved in October so thats been a little crazy.
School sucks its so hard and I think I need to get a tutor.. no joke

Just a quick little survey to see who actually reads this:

1. Reply with your name and I will write something I like about you.
2. I will then tell what song reminds me of you.
3. If I were to apply an o'clock to you, I'll tell you what it would be.
4. I will try to name a single word that best describes you.
5. I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you.
6. I will tell you what color you remind me of.
7. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. Put this in your journal.

P.s I pierced my naval

1. I'll respond with something random about you
2. I'll challenge you to try something
3. I'll pick a color that I associate with you
4. I'll tell you something I like about you
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of
7. I'll ask you something I've always wanted to ask you
8. If I do this for you, you must post this in your journal

Adventures at Meijer

So yesterday I started therapy I'm a little sore... I am so out of shape. Then after that I came hope and Jordan hung for a while and then after she left I watched t.v then took a nap I was just a tad tired. Then my mom took Becca and I to Kohl's and then to Meijer's.

At Meijer's the following things happenend:
*The guy who rounds up the carts hit the door rails.. haha
*We see a nun =O
*My mom was looking at the jewelry and this man comes and swipes our cart (no he did not work there)
*People that worked at Meijer's were talking about getting stoned.
*Elderly people that don't know how to drive their carts.
*People that bring all their kids and have to scream for them down the asiles.
*The Best mullet I have ever seen in my entire exsistence.
among other things. So if you want to see these things go shopping at Meijer on Tuesdays.

So I got all the information from school yesterday and all I can say is that they are cracking down hard this year but what can you do with people always skipping, kids that don't come to our school roaming the halls and other things.

Royal Oak today with Becca Jordan and Natalie G

&hearts

Summer so far

So my summer has been okay. I have had a few breakdowns but what summer is not complete with those. This summer has basically been filled with watching movies reading hanging out and spending time with family which has been nice for the most part.

Movies I've seen this summer:
Murderball
Glory Road
Date Movie
Brokeback Mountain
North Country
ElizabethTown
She's The Man
Tristan + Isolde
Corpse Bride
Prime
Constantine
POTC DMC
X-Men 3
Grandma's Boy
Van Helsing
Annapolis
Along Came Polly
V for Vendetta
Benchwarmers
+ many more that I can't remember

I have also read a lot the books include the A-list series, Uglies, and Prom (my summer reading). There is still a lot of time to watch more and read more which I plan to do.

I have also spent a lot of time watching softball at the beginning of summer. I have also been spending a lot of time with my dad and his family. Last weekend I was up north with my dad for a birthday party which was fun since Jordan came with us. =)

This weekend was spent hitting the sales for back to school clothes. YAY!

Other plans for the summer:
Make plans with people
Do my physical therapy plan
Cedar Point the weekend of the 20th... I think
Spend time with my brother and his girlfriend
See Talladega Nights and Step Up (Friday!!!!)
See more Tigers Games (no I didn't jump on the bandwagon)
Hobo Dinner on Labor Day

This entry was kind of pointless but now whoever reads this knows what I have been up to

♥ Natalie
